چکیده مقاله:
This paper presents a novel robust control approach for designing controllers for a four-tank liquid level system. As the control of water level in the four-tank system finds applications in various industrial domains and is highly susceptible to uncertainties, designing robust controllers is suitable for stabilizing the performance of this multi-input multi-output system. The paper first introduces the system's schematic and considers its linearized model. Then, robust proportional-integral (PI) and H∞ controllers are developed using standard multivariable control techniques. These controllers are applied to the system to control disturbances and interference from other subsystems, and their performance is evaluated through MATLAB simulations. The paper compares the centralized, decentralized, and semi-centralized design approaches for both PI and H∞ controllers. The results demonstrate the superior performance of the centralized H∞ robust controller regarding disturbance rejection, settling time, and control effort compared to other designed controllers.
