In this work, the ultrasonically assisted synthesis of biopolymeric nanocomposites are presented. The biopolymers PMMA, PVA, HDPE and PP, were dissolved and the resulting solution was employed to carry out the in situ precipitation of Hydroxyapatite (HAp) and Calcite (CA t). The ultrasonic irradiation times were varied in order to verify the effect of ultrasound on the morphology of bioceramics and the yield obtained from the syntheses performed. The nanocomposites were characterized by FTIR, XRD, TGA, TEM and SEM. Biological tests to evaluate them against osteoblast to determine cell adhesion and proliferation behavior were realized. There is a marked influence of irradiation time on the yield of the bioceramic phases. All nanocomposites showed significant thermal stability, as well as appreciable biocompatibility with osteoblastic cells, making them potential materials for bone regeneration.
