Investigating the effect of organic solvents and silver nanoparticles on the enhancement of Raman signals of abamectin

In the present study, solutions of ۹۵% pure abamectin powder were prepared in various solvents and analyzed by Raman spectroscopy to identify the solvent that provides the strongest Raman signal for abamectin. Besides, since the Raman signals of the solutions are inherently weak, silver nanoparticles were used in surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) to enhance the intensity of the signals so as to make more accurate detection of the substance possible.
