چکیده مقاله:

In the humanitarian supply chain, reverse logistics refers to the process of planning, implementing, and managing the flow of relief items from the point of consumption to their origin for value recovery or appropriate disposal. Even though reverse logistics practices are well established in commercial supply chains, However, they have not been widely accepted by the humanitarian sector. We examine the challenges of implementing reverse logistics in the humanitarian supply chain and identify appropriate opportunities. Among the most significant outcomes of this research, which aims to enhance the efficiency of reverse logistics in the humanitarian sector, we can highlight the significance of utilizing new technologies such as the Internet of Things and blockchain, creating decision support models, streamlining the reverse logistics process by collaborating with humanitarian organizations, governments, and the private sector, and optimizing transportation routes.
