Poverty Alleviation Solutions in Thoughts, Policies, and Prophetic Measures

Poverty is an undesirable social phenomenon and one of the most important problems of human societies, whose existence and extent in the society leads to all-around harmful consequences in the short and long term. Therefore, this sinister social phenomenon has been strongly condemned in all religions and human cultures. In the meantime, the school of Islam, which pays attention to all dimensions of human existence, considers life with prosperity and peace as the natural right of man, more than other schools, and in its recommendations and practical instructions, it emphasizes the need to fight against the obstacles to the realization of this problem. Based on the effort to live a dignified life in this world, Islam has placed poverty alleviation as one of its most important commands and has explicitly stated its solutions in its teachings. The teachings have been made available to their followers through the Holy Quran, Prophetic Hadiths, and infallible Imams. Therefore, this realization is trying to deal with the solutions to fight against poverty from the perspective of prophetic teachings. Thus, the question raised in the research is what are the solutions for poverty alleviation in thought, policies, and prophetic measures? In order to answer this question, by using the descriptive-analytical method and through the collection of data from the library and documents, using interpretative sources, historical books, and authoritative scientific articles, the authors explain the roots of the causes and factors of poverty and then its effects, and finally, introduce the solutions to overcome poverty according to the prophetic point of view. Among these solutions are: attention and efforts to charity, avoiding laziness and boredom, contentment, peace, and mercy, as well as attention to the deprived and oppressed, attention to employment, creating equality in society, and fair distribution of wealth.
