Mummy is a mineral that forms over many years from the decomposition of plants among rocks. It is used as a traditional medicine to increase the quality of life and manage some diseases in many countries worldwide, including Iran. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the chemical composition, therapeutic uses, and distribution of the substance in different parts of the world.
