چکیده مقاله:
The aim of the present study is to investigate the effects of geometrical parameters such as anode and cathode thickness, on the average current density of a SOFC. It comprises the complete coupling of the gas flow in the porous electrodes, the momentum balances in the gas channels, the mass balances at the anode and cathode, the balance of the ionic current carried by the oxide ion, and an electronic current balance were simultaneously analyzed using different modules of Comsol software v ۶.۲. The effect of increasing the thickness ۴×۱۰-۴m of the anode and cathode on the concentration of species participating in the reaction and the distribution of the electrolyte current density was analyzed. Maximum concentrations of ۲۰.۸% for oxygen and ۹۰.۸% for hydrogen were observed, while the maximum current density for the electrolyte was recorded as ۱۰۴ A/m². Additionally, the cell's maximum current density and power density were calculated as ۱۵۵۷۳.۸ A/m² and ۷۷۸۶.۹ W/m², respectively. The analysis findings reveal that the proposed system can provide the highest cell power and current density compared to the base work.
