چکیده مقاله:

Improving employment opportunities and career conditions is key to enhancing their well-being and economic stability. Disability defined as an incapacity limiting major life activities, includes mental, physical, or intellectual impairments. It results from interactions between social/environmental factors and health conditions, creating obstacles to social integration. The modern view emphasizes societal barriers as the source of disability, not just impairments. A high unemployment rate among people with disabilities is reported globally, with ۷۰-۸۰% unemployed, leading to social and economic exclusion. Women with disabilities face worse labor market conditions, earning lower incomes and experiencing disparities that reduce their quality of life. Ethical considerations highlight the need for equality in human rights, as all individuals deserve dignified lives and work opportunities. Meaningful work fosters well-being and self-worth, empowering individuals and promoting social development. Organizations must address workplace complexities for people with disabilities through flexible HRM policies and ethical management. Evidence shows that people with disabilities perform well when given opportunities, offering competitive advantages to organizations. However, managers’ negative perceptions can lead to unethical behaviors and failed support plans. Structural changes, like diversity managers and reasonable adjustments, are essential for inclusion. Discrimination, prejudice, and societal barriers, such as inaccessible environments, exacerbate challenges for people with disabilities. Social exclusion intensifies poverty and limits access to basic opportunities, requiring urgent attention. International treaties alone are insufficient; outdated attitudes and weak enforcement.
