چکیده مقاله:
This study investigates the effect of artificial intelligence on vocabulary retention impacted on IELTS speaking of Iranian learners. A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving ۶۰ EFL students were participated in this study. The study will conduct over one academic semester and involves ۶۰ students divided into two groups: an experimental group (۳۰ students) and a control group (۳۰ students). The experimental group engaged in AI-based learning activities using the Gliglish website to improve various aspects of their vocabulary, while the control group received traditional instruction without using AI tools. Both groups completed pre-test and post-test assessments using the Cambridge English Preliminary Speaking Test and vocabulary test to measure their vocabulary and speaking proficiency. The findings revealed that students using Gliglish website showed significant improvement in vocabulary acquisition compared to the control group. The study concludes by recommending the integration of AI-based platforms like Gliglish into EFL curricula and calls for further research to explore their long-term effects on various aspects of language learning.
