چکیده مقاله:

This study explores the politeness of the students in an Iranian context in English Language Classes based on the experiences of the author and his colleagues as EFL teachers in different cities with various cultures and social levels. Nowadays, an increasing number of students are being viewed as exhibiting impolite behavior in the classroom, more specifically male learners. Teachers regularly confess that it has been demanding to manage these classes and execute disciplinary measures. Putting the (w) hole-person teachers aside, impoliteness takes its way strongly by whole-person students in this new horizon of Humanistic Approach, student-centered approach, which concentrates on improving teaching/learning process. Although teachers often advise, scold and punish these students, issue warnings, or refer them to the office concerned, the ‘impoliteness’ continues and teachers become more frustrated.
