چکیده مقاله:

This study examines the integration of indigenous cultural elements into English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction in Iranian high schools. The research aims to explore how culturally relevant materials impact student engagement and comprehension. A qualitative case study approach was employed, focusing on three high schools selected based on diversity in student backgrounds. Data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and curriculum analysis. Findings indicate that incorporating indigenous culture enhances student motivation and learning outcomes, though challenges such as curriculum restrictions persist. The study suggests policy recommendations for curriculum developers to balance global language standards with local cultural identity.
