چکیده مقاله:

The drying of Lake Hamoun is accompanied by extensive effects in the Sistan region. This phenomenon has led to a decrease in soil quality, increased susceptibility of the region to wind erosion, and accumulation of salts. Additionally, human activities have contributed to the environmental degradation of this area. These changes have resulted in increased environmental problems and threaten wildlife. Given the high dependency of life in the region on Lake Hamoun, any unstable changes in this area could have highly detrimental effects on the local community. The economic impacts are also significant, affecting many livelihoods in the region. To manage the crisis, multidisciplinary approaches are necessary, including empowering local communities, fostering agreements and reducing conflicts, comprehensive water resource management, and raising awareness in the local community for optimal use of available resources and reducing dependency on the lake. Using climate-compatible agricultural methods and industrial and commercial development can contribute to sustainable management and environmental preservation. Furthermore, amending laws and managerial policies and ensuring water supply through collaboration with neighboring countries are also of utmost importance.
