چکیده مقاله:

The particularities of maternal physiology necessitate a heightened consideration for perinatal safety. Postpartum depression (PPD) represents a significant concern, impacting a considerable number of women following childbirth. Symptoms of PPD can include profound sadness, clinical depression, emotional lability, hallucinations, irritability, and, in severe instances, suicidal ideation. Research indicates that PPD may affect up to ۳۸.۵% of new mothers, with its manifestation influenced by a myriad of psychological, physical, social, and obstetric factors. The process of childbirth itself can exacerbate these risks, posing substantial health threats to both mother and infant. Current treatment modalities primarily encompass pharmacological and psychosocial interventions; however, the long-term administration of medications presents potential risks for breastfeeding infants, thereby underscoring the necessity for effective preventative strategies. Emerging studies have demonstrated that Esketamine can significantly mitigate the incidence and severity of depressive symptoms. As a stereoisomer of ketamine, esketamine exhibits more pronounced analgesic and sedative properties and is indicated for use in patients experiencing severe depression and epilepsy.
