چکیده مقاله:

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract involving a complex interplay of immune, genetic, and environmental factors. Current therapeutic strategies often include immunomodulators and biologics, but these treatments are not without limitations. Probiotics, including Saccharomyces boulardii, have shown promise as adjunctive or primary treatments in IBD due to their anti-inflammatory properties. This systematic review evaluates the role of S. boulardii in preclinical animal models of IBD to elucidate its mechanisms of action and therapeutic potential.
