چکیده مقاله:

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) and diabetic nephropathy remain major causes of renal dysfunction, with oxidative stress, renin-angiotensin system (RAS) dysregulation, IgA nephropathy (IgAN), and glomerular damage playing critical roles in disease progression. Probiotics, including Saccharomyces boulardii (S. boulardii), have emerged as potential therapeutic agents due to their immunomodulatory, antioxidant, and microbiota-regulating properties. This review systematically evaluates the renal protective effects of S. boulardii in animal models, focusing on its mechanisms in preventing kidney injury, particularly in IgA nephropathy and diabetic nephropathy.
