The effect of emotional intelligence skill training on clinical judgment of nurses: a systematic review

Introduction: In clinical judgment, the nurse collects and interprets data based on skills such as emotional intelligence. Finally, a conclusion is reached by rethinking and feedback. Implementation of this process requires training. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of reviewing the effect of emotional intelligence training on the clinical judgment of nurses. Search Strategy: The present study was done systematically. Reviewing and searching articles using the keywords of nurses, clinical judgment, emotional intelligence in SID, Magiran and Science Direct databases, PubMed and Scopus From ۲۰۱۴ to ۲۰۲۴. The title and abstract of the articles and the removal of duplicates, the quality of the articles found using the JBI tool were checked by the researchers, and finally ۱۳ articles were included in this study. Results: Examining the research findings shows that emotional intelligence training is a vital change and necessity in the field of nursing. Because emotional intelligence is the foundation of a sustainable framework to strengthen creativity in nurse-patient interaction, it expands personal and professional horizons, expands personal and professional boundaries, and increases nurses' capacity for correct clinical judgment. Conclusion: Based on the evidence collected in this systematic review, it is possible to understand to what extent emotional intelligence is influential and decisive on the important variable of clinical judgment. Therefore, laying the foundations for improving the emotional intelligence of employees should be considered.
