چکیده مقاله:

Subject: Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects an individual's cognitive abilities and leads to significant changes in language and communication skills. These changes include problems with word recall, disruptions in grammar and sentence structure, decreased ability to comprehend language, and difficulty in using non-verbal cues. Aims: This research aims to analyze the changes in language and communication that occur in Alzheimer's patients, particularly how these changes begin in the early stages of the disease and intensify as the disease progresses. The goal is to understand the impact of these changes on patients' ability to communicate and their broader psychological and social well-being. Research Method: This research is conducted through a descriptive-analytical method and utilizes credible scientific sources to explore the nature of language and communication impairments in Alzheimer's patients. The study synthesizes existing literature and findings related to the progression of these changes over time. Results: The results indicate that language and communication changes in Alzheimer's patients begin in the early stages of the disease and intensify as the disease progresses. These disorders not only affect the individual's ability to communicate effectively with others but also contribute to social isolation and psychological problems such as anxiety and depression. Conclusion: This article proposes strategies such as using simple sentences, repeating concepts, focusing on body language, and creating a calm environment to facilitate communication with Alzheimer's patients. Ultimately, educating families and caregivers to improve communication quality and reduce the negative impacts of these changes appears essential.
