چکیده مقاله:
A city's history is reflected in its architecture, embodying the values, culture, and identity of past generations. Preserving historical buildings is essential to safeguarding these cultural assets. However, rapid urbanization and migration have weakened people's connection to their heritage, reducing the demand for restoring historical neighborhoods. This may stem from neglecting existing values and the tension between modern needs and historical contexts. This study aims to revitalize the physical structure of neighborhoods by modernizing and recreating past values. Its goal is to identify identity-giving factors and explain neighborhood design principles based on historical values. The focus is on the neighborhood of Chaharsad Dastgah, with solutions provided for applying historical elements in its redesign. The aim is to preserve and strengthen the neighborhood's historical appearance and identity while attracting residents and reinforcing its physical-spatial identity. The purpose of this research is to conduct applied research, utilizing a descriptive-analytical approach as the research method. In the analytical portion of the study, a comparison is made between traditional neighborhoods and new residential areas. The strengths and weaknesses of each plan are highlighted. The research methods used include the study of library documents, field observation, and interviews to collect and complete information and adopt precise principles. The study investigates effective indicators for promoting urban identity in the Chaharsad Dastgah neighborhood. The goal is to improve the urban neighborhood's identity by providing suitable solutions.
