چکیده مقاله:
Turkey is one of the most seismically active countries in the world, renowned for its history of devastating earthquakes. Numerous active faults crisscross the nation, giving rise to frequent and sometimes catastrophic seismic events. In ۲۰۲۳, Turkey experienced ۷۴,۲۲۷ earthquakes, ۱۳ of which registered ۵.۵ or higher. Among these, the ۷.۸-magnitude earthquake in Pazarcik, Kahramanmaras sequence on February ۶, ۲۰۲۳, stands out as the largest earthquake of the year, that causing significant damage. An analysis of the data from ۲۰۲۳ reveals that the year was marked by an extraordinary number and magnitude of earthquakes across Turkey, with a substantial release of seismic energy across the country's diverse regions. Statistical analysis of earthquakes holds immense importance as a crucial step towards better understanding Turkey's seismically active zones and enhancing preparedness for these natural disasters. These statistics underscore that Turkey remains at a serious seismic risk, necessitating the implementation of rigorous preventive measures and comprehensive planning to mitigate the hazards associated with this devastating phenomenon. By raising public awareness, strengthening building codes, and developing rapid earthquake warning systems, the destructive consequences of these
