چکیده مقاله:
Text, image, sound and video can be expressed as digital data. Incremental learning and rapid growth of Internet led people to digital world and communication via digital data. Steganography is the art of concealing a message in a channel or communication passage in such a way that a special kind of information is concealed in other kinds of information. A collaborative approach between steganography and digital signature provides a high secure hidden data. Unfortunately, there are wide varieties of attacks that affect the quality of image steganography. Digital signature and image steganography are two techniques used for data authentication. This project focuses on developing new algorithm in hiding data to enhance robustness of image steganography for image authentication purpose. Results of this study are an efficient and robust stenographic technique which can avoid various image attacks. Steganography techniques use multimedia files as a cover carrier for the secure message. Many approaches have been proposed to use different types of covers to send the secure message. The aim of the research is to evaluate the robustness of proposed algorithm against various steganalysis based attack such as visual attacks, statistical attacks. A digital signature with smaller hash size than other hash algorithms was developed for authentication purposes. The robustness was tested against the histogram analysis attack, and the results show that the probability of the existence of data in the stego-image is closed to ۰% compared to Yates study. This encryption algorithm is also computationally efficient whereby for messages with the sizes less than ۱۶۰۰ bytes, the hashed file reduced the original file up to ۸.۵۱%.
