چکیده مقاله:
The research examines how facility structures' trenches, reinforced with geobags, behave under vertical loads to mitigate subsidence concerns. By combining experimental and numerical analyses, the study aims to assess the load-bearing capacities. Geobags, filled with construction waste, are strategically positioned in sandy soil and subjected to vertical loading. Evaluations using force-settlement diagrams are conducted to evaluate the efficacy of soil enhancement through geobags. The numerical analyses, performed using ABAQUS software for finite element modeling, validate the experimental results. The findings reveal a substantial increase in bearing capacity, ranging from ۱.۵ to ۳.۵ times when geobags are employed compared to untreated soil. Notably, enclosing the soil within the geobag demonstrates a significant impact on the bearing capacity of the structure. This highlights the positive influence of geobag reinforcement in enhancing structural stability under vertical loading conditions, particularly in sandy soil environments.
