چکیده مقاله:
Coral reefs represent some of Earth's most biologically diverse ecosystems, providing critical habitat for many marine species. These ecosystems offer economic benefits through activities such as tourism and fisheries. Human activities, such as coastal development, overfishing, pollution, and global warming, have contributed to the global loss of these ecosystems. Urgent steps are necessary to regenerate and restore biodiversity and environmental services. Maintaining coral reefs in the face of accelerating global climate change will require methods that enhance the growth and survival of corals. The current study examines the use of electrical wire stimulation on coral reefs and summarizes its biological benefits. The results indicate that extremely low and safe voltages enhance coral reefs' growth, settlement, and survival. All organisms utilize electron and proton flow along this voltage gradient to produce energy. Such stimulation enables marine organisms to survive under challenging conditions and supports the thriving of entire ecosystems. Electricity within the appropriate range offers biological benefits, such as enhancing the growth and resilience of corals to extremely high temperatures and pollutant stress. The electrotherapy method must be optimized and applied on a large scale as soon as possible, particularly in coral reefs, the ecosystems most threatened by global warming.
