چکیده مقاله:

Earthquakes are one of the most destructive natural disasters that can occur, causing widespread devastation and loss of life. In order to mitigate the impact of earthquakes, it is essential to design structures that are able to withstand the forces exerted by seismic activity. Structural design plays a crucial role in determining a building's earthquake resistance, and various factors must be considered in order to ensure the safety and stability of a structure during an earthquake. One of the key factors in designing earthquake-resistant structures is the choice of materials. Different materials have varying levels of strength and flexibility, which can affect a building's ability to withstand seismic forces. For example, reinforced concrete is commonly used in earthquake-resistant construction due to its strength and ability to flex without breaking. Steel is also a popular choice for its high tensile strength and ductility, which allows it to absorb and dissipate energy during an earthquake.
