چکیده مقاله:

BackgroundThe desire to have children among nurses can be deeply influenced by various social factors, which canbe understood through the lens of their lived experiences. This study was conducted to explain the socialfactors intersect with sexual health.MethodsA descriptive phenomenological study to explore the lived experience of nurses was conducted among ۱۱by purposive homogenous sampling and interviewed with an open-ended interview guide by ensuringdata saturation. COREQ guideline were adopted for this qualitative study.ResultsQualitative data were analyzed using conventional content analysis, and themes and sub-themes werederived. The major themes that emerged in the present study were Work-Life Balance (Demanding WorkSchedules and Supportive Work Environment), Financial Considerations (Economic Stability and JobSecurity), Professional Identity and Career Aspirations (Career Commitment and Impact of Parenthoodon Career), Social Support Systems (Family and Community Support and Peer Influence), Cultural andSocietal Norms (Cultural Expectations and Societal Pressures), Personal Health and Well-being (Physicaland Mental Health and Workplace Stressors), Timing and Life Stage (Age and Fertility Considerationsand Postponement Trends)ConclusionThe desire to have children among nurses is shaped by a complex interplay of social factors rooted intheir lived experiences. Understanding these factors is essential for creating supportive environments thatacknowledge the unique challenges faced by nurses. By addressing issues such as work-life balance,financial stability, and access to social support, healthcare organizations can foster a culture thatempowers nurses to make informed choices about parenthood while pursuing fulfilling careers
