چکیده مقاله:
The efficiency and longevity of solar cells deployed in space applications, such as spacecraft and satellites, are paramount for uninterrupted operation and mission success. However, the harsh environment of space, coupled with prolonged exposure to radiation and vacuum conditions, poses significant challenges to the performance of traditional silicon-based solar cells. This paper investigates the potential of tandem silicon-perovskite solar cells as a promising solution to address these challenges. Tandem solar cells, comprised of silicon and perovskite materials, offer enhanced efficiency and radiation resistance compared to conventional silicon cells. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing research and experimental data, this article showcases the superior performance of tandem silicon-perovskite solar cells, achieving efficiencies exceeding ۳۰%. Moreover, we examine the synergistic effects of combining silicon and perovskite layers, elucidating the mechanisms behind their enhanced performance and durability in space environments. Our findings underscore the potential of tandem solar cell technology to revolutionize power generation in space missions, ensuring reliable and sustainable energy supply over extended operational lifetimes (۱–۳).
