چکیده مقاله:

This study aims to make synthetic Calcium Magnesium Aluminate (CMA) to use as an additive in refractories. This additive is supposed to help with corrosion and penetration resistance by upping the alumina and lime content of the infiltrating slag, which would lead to reduced reactivity. We made lab samples and sintered them up at ۱۶۵۰°C using the stochiometric ratio of raw materials. Then, a lot of analysis, like SEM, XRD, and FTIR, was done to check out synthetic CMA. We also looked at the structure and microstructure of the samples using SEM, EDS, and XRD. The diffraction pattern showed us different phases, including CaO.۲MgO.۸Al۲O۳ (CM۲A۸), ۲CaO.۲MgO.۱۴Al۲O۳ (C۲M۲A۱۴), and CaO.۶Al۲O۳ (CA۶). Plus, the FTIR analysis is used as a confirmation of the phase analysis. Microscopic results showed interconnected sheets and creating porosity between them.
