چکیده مقاله:
The Buyid dynasty (۹۳۴ -۱۰۶۲ AD) was a Persian government that laid the ground for scientific and philosophical debates and religious sects, especially Shi'ism, to maintain national identity and Iranian Islamic thought. With the support of philosophers and intellectual elites of the Buyid era, cultural developments known as the Islamic Renaissance emerged, leading to the flourishing ethical thoughts. Ibn Miskawayh and Abu Sulayman Sijistani were two Iranian Shiite philosophers and rational humanists of the Buyid study centers whose humanistic ideas influenced Muslim insight to achieve human perfection. Later, the dissolution of the Iranian Buyid dynasty and the dominance of Seljuk Soltans over Iran (۱۰۳۷ – ۱۱۹۴ AD) restrained these intellectual and philosophical debates. However, the arts flourished remarkably, leading to the golden age of Iranian pottery. The present research attempted to reveal the continuation of the Islamic Renaissance of the Buyid era and its Shiite culture in Seljuk ceramics and tiles as an influential Islamic art.
