چکیده مقاله:

The research investigates the wear characteristics of polymer and composite brake pads like aramid fibers, potassium titanate, and phenol formaldehyde resin, which are crucial for vehicle safety and performance. Non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, including spectroscopic methods and particle size distribution analysis, are employed to assess brake pad materials' durability without compromising component integrity. The study highlights the role of NDT in understanding friction material behavior, as well as recent developments and challenges in NDT methods like dynamometer noise measurement. It underscores the environmental benefits of integrating natural fibers in brake pads and the advancements in NDT technologies, such as ultrasonic scanning and laser-based techniques, which enhance brake system safety and efficiency. The research emphasizes the need for continuous innovation and adherence to quality standards in automotive engineering to develop more advanced and sustainable braking systems. Such investigations not only enhance our understanding of the behavior of materials under various types of stresses but also pave the way for further improvements in the performance and sustainability of brake pads.
