Primary dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain without pelvic pathology that cast last for up to threedays. Since dysmenorrhea is a common issue for women of reproductive age and often causesthem to miss work and daily activities. Given the significance of this condition and the milder sideeffects of medicinal herbs such as Achillea millefolium, Valeriana officinalis, and Astragalushamosus. this clinical trial investigated the efficacy of Achillea millefolium, Valeriana officinalis,and Astragalus hamosus on primary dysmenorrhea. Only patients suffering from dysmenorrheawith no history of a specific disease were enrolled in the research. Participants were divided intofour groups, each consisting of ۳۰ individuals: three herbal medicine groups and one control group.To obtain more accurate data, participants took the drugs for three consecutive months, andrecorded and reported their pain intensity based on the Visual Analog Scale during the first threedays of their menstruation. SPSS statistical analysis software was employed to analyze theobtained data. Results revealed significant differences between the three groups taking differentherbal medicine and the control group (P=۰.۰۰۰۱), suggesting that Astragalus hamosus was themost effective in alleviating dysmenorrhea, followed by Valeriana officinalis, .Achilleamillefolium, and placebo, respectively
