چکیده مقاله:
Background: Reports of feeding disorders and their negative effects on infants are common. This literature review addresses the need to detect and report on the features of instrumental assessments in the areas of feeding functions that are available to clinicians.
Materials and Methods: A literature review search was performed by two autonomous reviewers utilizing EMBASE, Scopus, Medline (via PubMed), Google Scholar, ProQuest, and Cochrane databases, to discover instrumental assessments for infant swallowing and feeding function. Assessments were summarized and assessed concurring to respondent sort, target populations, and appraisal plan.
Results: Overall, ۷ studies were included in the last review. Despite the varying assessments of feeding function in infants, there were many similarities between instrumental assessments in components, conceptual, and operational tools.
Conclusions: The two available methods for instrumental evaluation of swallowing are the VFSS and the FEES. Both measures have benefits and limits that have been characterized in this article. Even though both strategies are exceptionally viable and substantial, analysts have distinctive conclusions concerning the preferences and impediments of these strategies. Hence, to encourage explore is have to be advancement studies indicating to standardize and favor traditions for instrumental examinations in infants.
