چکیده مقاله:
Wireless sensor networks consist of the large number of small and low-power sensors that communicate through wireless links. WSNs have emerged in recent years for healthcare to collectdata from patient’s vital signs with the low-cost sensors. One of the major challenges in these networks is to control the congestion. Inhealthcare applications, such as medical emergencies or vital signs remote monitoring of patients, data transmitting is critical. It isessential either to avoid congestion or to control if the avoidance is not possible. This paper describes a data centric congestionmanagement protocol which uses AQM that is proposed for healthcare applications. This study deals with end to end delay, energy consumption, lifetime, and fairness. The proposed protocol, HOCA, is using multipath and QoS aware routing to avoid the congestion. If the congestion cannot be avoided, it will be mitigated by an optimized congestion control algorithm. Simulation results show that HOCA has achieved its goals in increasing the efficiency
