The Effect of Economic Factors on the SecondaryPrevention of Delinquency Among Children andAdolescents

Today, crime prevention is one of the most importanttopics in criminology and it is evolving day by day in order tocomprehensively examine the phenomenon of crime and social harmand provide strategies for its prevention. In the field of crimeprevention, secondary prevention means the use of appropriate andearly measures to prevent the occurrence of crime by children andadolescents who have been raised in an inappropriate familyenvironment or other factors such as economic factors such aspoverty, unemployment of parents, the cost of living have affectedthem and They are in a critical social situation, which increases thepossibility of them committing crimes. Therefore, this research seeksto identify the factors that lead children and teenagers to delinquencyand also prevent this group from receiving the label of deviance fromthe control institutions. The main research question is what effecteconomic factors can have on the secondary prevention ofdelinquency among children and adolescents. In order to answer theresearch question, a descriptive analytical and library method hasbeen used. The findings and results indicate that the highest amount ofdelinquency is related to the household economy, as well as economicfactors that can provide a platform for delinquency for children andteenagers, they can also prevent them from committing delinquency.If it is available for children and they are not in economic problems,the probability of delinquency will be reduced and this will be moreevident with the provision of preventive strategies by governmentsand the assistance of NGOs.
