This paper explores the complex challenges and barriers toimplementing child rights, particularly in relation to child labor andstreet children. Despite the existence of comprehensive internationaland national legal frameworks, the enforcement of child rights is oftenhindered by socio-economic, political, and cultural factors. Theseinclude poverty, weak governance, corruption, and deeply ingrainedcultural practices that perpetuate child labor and early marriage. Thepaper critically examines these barriers and highlights the limitationsof current approaches to child protection. In response to thesechallenges, the paper proposes innovative solutions aimed atstrengthening legal frameworks, enhancing community engagement, and providing economic empowerment to vulnerable families. Itemphasizes the importance of integrating technology into childprotection efforts, such as using digital platforms for monitoring andreporting child rights violations. The paper also advocates forinstitutional reforms to improve coordination among stakeholders andbuild the capacity of those responsible for implementing childprotection measures. Additionally, the paper discusses the need fortargeted social protection programs, such as conditional cashtransfers, which have proven effective in reducing child labor andincreasing school attendance. Advocacy and policy reform are alsoidentified as critical components in the fight to protect child rights, with a focus on holding governments accountable for theircommitments. Overall, the paper argues for a holistic approach tochild protection that addresses the root causes of child rightsviolations and involves all sectors of society.
