چکیده مقاله:

Debris removal and evacuation operations following an earthquake are essential for eliminatingpotential threats and ensuring the safety of people during the reconstruction phase. The identificationof debris deposit and evacuation areas is a critical aspect of urban management in earthquakeresponse, requiring careful planning in advance. In this research, the estimated volume of debris inTehran resulting from a potential ۷.۲ Mw earthquake along the Tehran Fault" href="https://civilica.com/search/paper/k-North%20Tehran%20Fault/">North Tehran Fault is examined. Thefindings suggest that approximately ۶۰۱,۹۰۰ dwelling units, representing ۲۱.۵% of the city's buildings, would collapse in this scenario. This would result in around ۸۳۸,۶۸۴ tonnes of debris, necessitating theuse of approximately ۱,۸۶۵ trucks working full time over three months to transport the debris to aridland. The study's findings can assist local authorities in Tehran in developing appropriate strategies foreffectively managing such a catastrophic earthquake event.
