In this paper, the seismic analysis of a cantilever sheet pile wall penetrated in sandy soil isdiscussed. Uncertainties are applied to the soil and structure parameters by the fuzzy method. Theground consists of multiple layers and the changes in the soil friction angle with depth are taken intoaccount. The Mononobe-Okabe pseudo-static approach is used to estimate the lateral pressure of soilduring an earthquake. Fuzzy triangles of safety factors were obtained for two modes of overturningand flexural failure. The results show that it is necessary to consider the uncertainties and changes inthe soil friction angle because they may drastically affect the structural safety
