Eccentrically braced frames (EBFs) are widely recognized as effective structural system for areawith high siesmicity. In EBFs, ductile behavior is confined to the link (fuse component), while othercomponents, known as force-controlled components, are proportionally designed in reation to themaximum shear force of the link. Despite the importance of the force-controlled components, existingreaserches has inadequately addressed their behavior. This paper aims to evaluate the force demand onthese components and to calculate their probability of failure (Pf) within a probabilistic framework. Toachieve this objective, Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) is employed to investigate the nonlinearbehavior of EBF model. The findings show varing failure probabilities (Pf) among the force-controlledcomponents, which implies that different safety margins (represented as the resistance factor, 𝜑) canbe considered in the design of these components
