چکیده مقاله:
In this study, two shake table experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of burial anglesof the pipes on their response to seismic induced landslide. Similitude laws were employed toconstruct the physical models. In each model, four aluminum pipes were installed at different positionsbut at identical depths from the model surface. They were heavily instrumented with pair strain gaugesto measure pure bending strain. All the properties in both models- except the pipes angles relative tothe slope- are the same. The models were fully instrumented with acceleration and displacementtransducers. These sensors were located at adequate distances from container walls to minimize theeffects of boundary conditions on the results. Input shaking consisted of ۲۵ sinusoidal cycles ofloading with an amplitude of ۰.۳۲ g and frequency of ۵ Hz. The results showed that reduction of pipeburial angles from ۹۰ to ۷۰ degrees in relative to the slope direction, decreased bending strain in thepipes. Therefore, reduction burial angle of the pipes can be considered as one of the remediationmethods against landslide. Also, in both models, the lower part of the slope was the most criticallocation for buried pipes.
