Preparation of biochar based on bamboo and its application in the removal of methylene blue dye

Industrial wastewater contains many harmful substances that can cause serious problems for the environment. Biochar has been a popular choice among researchers due to its unique properties including large specific surface area, porous structure, enriched surface functional groups. Biochar made from bamboo is a porous material produced by thermal decomposition, which has attractive properties such as low cost, abundance of resources, and compatibility with the environment, which has received special attention in removing all kinds of toxic pollutants. Our findings showed that bamboo biochar is efficient in absorbing and removing organic compounds.
