چکیده مقاله:
In this study, an exploration into the efficiency of sodium ferrate (Na۲FeO۴) as a means of eliminating ۱,۲-dichloroethane (EDC) was conducted. During the study, an artificial ethylene solution has been used. The investigation focused on the removal process, aiming to unravel the potential of sodium ferrate in effectively treating EDC. The removal efficiency and optimal conditions were among the key aspects of this research. The results indicate that the removal efficiency of EDC reaches ۹۸% at optimal conditions with ۱۲۰ minutes treatment. In optimal conditions, the pH is equal to ۲, and the concentration ratio of sodium ferrate to EDC is ۰.۸%. The results also indicate that variations in temperature did not significantly impact the removal process. In industrial-scale applications, optimizing temperature conditions may be disregarded due to the high energy costs associated with increasing the temperature. Since the impact of the concentration of other pollutants on the performance of sodium ferrate in EDC removal is significant, conducting experiments using industrial wastewater samples, such as petrochemical wastewater is recommended to achieve the optimum ratio of sodium ferrate to EDC. The findings of this study contribute valuable insights into the utilization of sodium ferrate as an efficient method for the removal of EDC.
