چکیده مقاله:

Although second language researchers have paid special attention to the concept of peer mediation,English-as-a-foreign-language (EFL) teachers’ beliefs about peer mediation have remainedunexplored. To fill the gap, the present study aims to investigate the Iranian EFL teachers’ beliefsabout peer mediation. The present study used a mixed methods design, i.e. questionnaire andinterview. The participants were ۴۲ (۳۱ female and ۱۱ male) Iranian EFL teachers. Both thequestionnaire and interview data showed that most of the teachers had positive beliefs about peermediation. The findings of the present study have implications for teacher education programs.
