چکیده مقاله:

Back ground: Cervical cancer is the fourth most common female cancer affectingwomen with ۵۲۸۰۰۰ new cases every year. Almost ۷۰% of the global burden occurs inless developed countries. These regions with higher rates of advanced stage diseaseleading to higher death rates. So awareness about risk factors of cervical cancer isimportant.Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the awareness about risk factors, HPVvaccination, the role of contraceptive, Pap smear and women’s awareness.Materials and Methods: This study reviewed Fifty-three articles from ۲۰۱۳ to ۲۰۲۲with search in reliable web site as PubMed, Web of science, Science direct, GoogleScholar, Ovid/MEDLINE, EMBASE, up to date and Scopus.Result: The findings of this study show that there is a relationship between maritalstatus, marriage age, and age of first pregnancy, smoking, consumption of oralcontraceptive pills, multiple sexual partners, family history, multiparty, and theprevalence of cervical cancer. Women with higher educational levels and higher incomehad better awareness of cervical cancer and more willing to accept regular Pap smears.Personal barriers included lack of knowledge, insurance coverage, high cost of care havean important role to do screening. In developed countries, cytology-based services havebeen the basis of cervical cancer screening. Recently liquid-based cytological tests havegained wide acceptance and also replaced conventional cytology in routine screening,also it can perform molecular assays of HPV. Also use of oral and of injectable hormonalcontraceptives was associated with a transiently increased risk of cervical cancer.conclusion: Prevention efforts should be focused on improving social awarenessstrategies to reduce risk factors and improving the strength and quality of counselling.To improvement the cervical cancer outcomes will require advocacy efforts at thenational leaderships. Annual screening still remains the most cost-effective preventivestrategy. Our results showed that the predictors of belief in women’s Pap smearscreening and HPV vaccination and management using of contraceptive pills is a majorstrategy for preventing cervical cancers.
