A novel approach in optimal hospital management considering the uncertainty of the number of patients using a new meta-heuristic optimization algorithm

Providing suitable and complete services of hospitals and medical centers to people and referring patients plays an important role in the social life of people and the well-being of patients. On the other hand, this can create a positive interaction between the people of the society and the government. In this article, taking into account the uncertainty of the number of sick people referring to the hospital compared to the total capacity of the hospital, a new method is introduced for the optimal management of hospitals and medical centers in terms of handling the general condition of hospitalized patients according to the total capacity of the hospital. . In this method, to optimize the obtained answers, a new meta-heuristic optimization algorithm named Busy Nurse Optimization (BNO) Algorithm is introduced and it is used to solve the problem. The results obtained from the introduced method have been implemented on two case studies of Imam Khomeini Hospital in Kermanshah city and Valiasr hospital in Arak city and under the MATLAB software environment. The obtained results show the usefulness of the presented method as one of the optimal management solutions for hospitals and medical centers.
