چکیده مقاله:
This study investigates on photo Fenton process for treating petrochemical real recalcitrant wastewaters. Various parameters influence on photo Fenton process that among them initial COD concentration, ferrous iron ion, hydrogen peroxide, and reaction time are investigated in this study. As a pilot study, experimental design has been carried out on a mixture of wastewaters from Karun and Maroon petrochemical complexes using design expert software version ۷ according to central composite design (CCD) method which is subset of response surface methodology (RSM). It should be noted that, all of the experiments have been carried out in lab scale and batch process. In the optimization, the correlation coefficient for the model (R۲) is ۰.۹۵۵۹ for the biodegradability ratio. The optimal conditions obtained by application of the software to improve operating conditions and increase biodegradability ratio are: initial COD=۱۸۵۰.۰۰ mg/L, [H۲O۲] =۱۳۶۱.۶۵ mg/L, [Fe (II)] =۵۰۰.۰۱ mg/L and time of reaction = ۲۰.۰۰ min, to achieve a ratio of ۲۳.۱۲.
