چکیده مقاله:
The main objective of this study is to explore a proposed theoretical framework on the impact of mindfulness on sports performance. Through a series of cross-sectional experiments, we aimed to uncover the potential role of emotion regulation as a mediator between dispositional mindfulness and sport-specific coping. Our research gathered a diverse group of young and talented players from various sports, and employed statistics in all of our analysis. Our findings from the cross-sectional analysis suggest a promising connection between dispositional mindfulness and coping through the regulation of emotions. Additionally, our results indicate a direct influence of dispositional mindfulness on emotional control. Overall, this study contributes valuable insights into the relationship between mindfulness, emotion regulation, and sports performance. This research also revealed additional, reliable direct effects of emotion control on coping. Our findings support the underlying model by demonstrating the significant impact of emotion regulation on the connection between dispositional mindfulness and sport-specific coping strategies. This suggests that competitive athletes who incorporate dispositional mindfulness into their routines may experience an enhancement in their ability to manage unpleasant emotions.
