چکیده مقاله:

This article introduces a tri-generation system designed for the production of hydrogen, power, and heat without emitting carbon dioxide into the environment. The system relies on methanol steam reforming and incorporates a calcium loop subsystem that employs CaO as an absorbent. These subsystems are integrated with a biogas-fueled chemical looping combustion process, which capitalizes on the heat recovered from the combustion process. In essence, this proposed system offers a conceptual design aimed at improving energy efficiency and the utilization of renewable energy sources. The complete proposed system is modeled using the robust software Aspen Plus. The findings reveal that the energy and exergy efficiencies of the proposed system are ۷۹% and ۵۹%, correspondingly. Moreover, this system possesses the ability to capture over ۹۹% of the generated carbon dioxide. Moreover, the results of the sensitivity analysis indicate that one of the key parameters in the combustion chemical loop is the oxygen carrier to fuel ratio, which is estimated at ۲.۶. Furthermore, an increase in this ratio leads to a reduction of the unreacted fuel in the fuel reactor towards zero and raises the temperature of the reactor products. Additionally, an increase in the steam to methanol ratio results in an increase in the valid hydrogen amount.
