Antimicrobial resistance is a growing global concern, posing a significant challenge in clinicalsettings. Nanoparticle-based antimicrobial strategies have emerged as a promising approach toaddress this issue. This article explores the utilization of nanoparticles, such as silver or metaloxide nanoparticles, for their antimicrobial properties and their potential to combat drugresistantpathogens in various healthcare environments. The review discusses the mechanismsof action, the efficacy of nanoparticles against a range of microorganisms, and their potentialapplications in medical devices, wound dressings, and disinfection solutions. The articlehighlights the advantages of nanoparticle-based antimicrobial strategies, including their broadspectrumactivity, enhanced stability, and reduced risk of resistance development, making thema valuable tool in the fight against infectious diseases .
