The old terms such as ‘literal’, ‘free’ and ‘faithful’ translation are discarded by Nida in favor of ‘two basic orientations’ or ‘types of equivalence:(۱) Formal equivalence ( formal correspondence)(۲) Dynamic equivalence (functional equivalence)
