Efficient Removal of Blue۲۱ Dye Using Synthesized Iron Oxide (Fe۳O۴) Nanoparticles as Magnetic Nano Adsorbent Material

Iron Oxide (Fe۳O۴) nanoparticles have shown great promise in removing heavy metals and dyestuffs from industrial effluents due to their magnetic properties and high surface area. This study focused on the efficient adsorption of dyestuff effluents using Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles. The collected samples were subjected to adsorption and decolorization at specific intervals, with the amount of Fe۳O۴ kept constant. The crystalline structure of Fe۳O۴ was confirmed using X-ray diffraction (XRD). UV-Vis Spectroscopy was utilized to monitor the absorption of the effluents, and it was found that the spherical-shaped Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles were effective in adsorbing dyestuff effluents. The results indicated that contaminants' maximum adsorption and decolorization occurred within ۳۰ minutes using a minimal amount of Fe۳O۴. The optimal dye absorption was observed at a pH of ۷, resulting in complete sequestration of Blue۲۱ within ۲ hours under dark conditions.
