چکیده مقاله:
The origin of wastewater pollutants are different industrial activities such as textile, pulp manufacturing, Kraft bleaching industries, etc. The textile industries are the main source of this severe problem. Dyes in wastewater generate coloration and several environmental problems since they impede the reoxygenation capacity and the photosynthetic activity of organisms. adsorption has been used as the most effective method to treat this type of wastewater. In this paper used BiFeO۳ as a non-toxicity perovskite that was synthesized by hydrothermal method to remove Reactive Red ۱۹۵ from the aqueous solution. In terms of environmental remediation, BiFeO۳ is being applied as a photocatalyst owning to its small band gap and has been studied intensively. However, to the best of our knowledge, little work has been focused on the adsorption performance of BiFeO۳. The XRD pattern of BiFeO۳ nanoparticles was prepared. The present study employed bismuth ferrite as a means to adsorb the commercially available red dye ۱۹۵ in aqueous solutions. The findings revealed pronounced electrostatic interactions between the charged surface of the adsorbent and the anionic dye at acidic pH. The optimal dye absorption was observed at pH ۴, resulting in complete absorption of the red dye ۱۹۵ within ۲ hours under dark conditions.
