چکیده مقاله:
With the industrialization of cities, the production of domestic and industrial wastewater is increasing every day. Considering the high cost of treating these wastewaters, it is more economical to use biological products. One of the elements present in these wastewaters is chromium nanoparticles. One of these biofilters is the cyanobacterium Spirulina platensis. This cyanobacterium has natural pigments such as phycocyanin, carotenoids and chlorophylla, which are used in various medical, health, food and cosmetic industries. Minerals and vitamins increase the production of these pigments in spirulina cyanobacteria. Due to the high price of chromium nanoparticles, we can get access to this element from its source, which is sewage. The method of conducting the experiment is that in order to increase the amount of pigment production, we added chromium, iron and vitamin B۶ additives to the Zarrouk's culture medium and added a group of all three additives. We also considered a group as a control without additives. After the end of cultivation, the amount of pigments was determined. Results: The highest amount of aqueous extract belonged to the mixed treatment (vitamin B-chromium-iron) (۰.۰۸۱۳۶۸۳۲۴±۰.۰۰۰۰۰۰۰۰۰a mg/ml). The highest amount of chlorophyll a belonged to the methanolic extract of the mixed treatment (vitamin B-chromium-iron) (۱۵.۲۴۸۸۵۶۶±۰.۰۰۲a microgram/ml) and the highest amount belonged to the methanolic extract of chromium treatment (۵.۷۷۳۸۴۸±۰.۰۰۳c microgram/ml) As a result, the mixture of treatments can produce the highest amount of pigments in spirulina. So, by using minerals from wastewater, in addition to treating wastewater at a lower level, we can produce pigments in cyanobacteria.
